COVER-UPS · OMAHA
Cover-ups and reworks by Meer Rich in Omaha. Start with a clear photo of what you have now.
Not every old tattoo needs to disappear completely. Some pieces are better covered. Others can be rebuilt, cleaned up, expanded, or worked into something new.
What makes sense depends on the tattoo that’s already there.

Size, darkness, color, saturation, placement, age, and the new design all matter. A faded piece gives you different options than dense black work.
Sometimes the new tattoo needs to be larger or darker. Sometimes it doesn’t. The first step is seeing what we’re working with.

Three photos make it easier to see what we’re working with: straight on, at an angle, and from farther back to show placement and scale.
Natural light works best. Avoid filters, flash, and heavy shadows.

Once the project is clear, we schedule the tattoo.
Not necessarily. What’s possible depends on the existing tattoo and what you want to put over it.
Often there needs to be enough room to work around the existing piece, but every project is different.
No. Color and black & grey can both work depending on what’s underneath and the new design.
Sometimes. A rework may be a better option when the existing piece still has something worth keeping.
Not always. Start by sending clear photos. Some projects can be reviewed from those alone; others may need more discussion.
For very dark or heavily saturated work, lightening the existing tattoo may sometimes create more options. Start with photos before assuming it’s necessary.
Send us the tattoo you have now.
